The proposed eight-week structure
Week 1: SAP IBP fundamentals, terminology, and the main planning processes.
Weeks 2 and 3: demand planning, including forecasting, historical data, forecast accuracy, and reading results.
Week 4: configuration, including master data, key figures, time profiles, and planning structures.
Week 5: supply planning, including demand and supply balancing, capacity limits, and inventory.
Week 6: integrated scenarios, where a change in demand or configuration affects the rest of the plan.
Week 7: hands-on exercises, covering system navigation, task execution, and troubleshooting.
Week 8: revision, timed practice, and a final readiness checklist.
Each week would include a few practical exercises. For example, in the demand weeks you would work through a case where sales jump unexpectedly. In the configuration week you would track down why a planning result differs from what you expected.
